3 Your old life is dead. Your new life, which is your real life—even though invisible to spectators—is with Christ in God. He is your life. 4 When Christ (your real life, remember) shows up again on this earth, you’ll show up, too—the real you, the glorious you. Meanwhile, be content with obscurity, like Christ.
Colossians 2:9-10 (Message Translation)
Weight: 176ish (-8 lbs)
Feeling: I’m still fighting off some type of bug, which isn’t cool while you’re approaching the finish line of a 21 day detox. I stayed home and rested most of the day today. I watered my friend Justin’s garden and my own garden, but that was the extent to my physical activity today. I did spend a lot of time reading the Bible, praying the Divine Hours, and playing Mario Kart Wii.
This cleanse was definitely beneficial and despite fighting off this illness (it’s probably not more severe because my body has been healing and cleansing itself), my body is working great. My digestion has sped up and has become more regular.
Meals:
Breakfast- SP Shake (w/ blueberries, strawberries, banana, flax oil, and water).
Lunch- I had grilled chicken with artichoke hearts, grapes, peppers, and cucumbers on top of spinach.
Afternoon Snack, I had a SP Shake .
Dinner- For dinner tonight Bridgette and I went to one of our favorite Lexington restaurants, Ramsey’s to celebrate the finish of the detox (and to cheer me up from a crabby mood). I had a FRIED, BUFFALO SAUCE DRENCHED, CHICKEN SANDWICH… what a way to end : )
Reading: The Divine Hours, The Return of the Prodigal Son, Colossians, I Kings, Psalms .
